The billing practices are just horrible. We are being bombarded with bills that have NO indication what they are for. We try to match them up with the Explanation of Benefits from our Insurance, but the hospital sends bills to Collection ( 14 days past due) before we even GET the EOBs. Very harsh.
I've lived in Gloucester for 9 years, and I've had to come here a few times. Every time I come to the ER here the experience is worse! The technology and Doctors in the ER are about as good as the Urgent Care. Average time spent in the ER is outrageous. I will be driving the 20 miles to Mary Immaculate in Newport News from now on, unless it's life or death-then i hope they can atleast save me. I'm from a larger city, and have been to many ER's in my life, this one is the worse. I could probably do a better job using Web MD & treating myself. We need a better hospital up here for sure!
Went to ER yesterday, and was diagnosed with sciatica. Was in excruciating pain. Dr. Gupta was very insensitive and dismissive of the amount of pain I was in. I was at the ER for 4 plus hrs. and received NO pain releif. I'm completely miserable!! What a waste of a Sunday and at least $1000.00! Wouldn't take my dog to the Gloucester ER.
Slow as the itch. Don't waste the trip and the money, die at home.
I had total shoulder replacement surgery at this facility and could not have had better care. The staff treated me with top-notch care and respect. Thanks for providing a valuable service to our community.
